The Story of Tres Chiles Mexican Grill

Tres Chiles is a local family-owned and operated restaurant. Owner Nicolas Medina, his wife Silvia Yasmin, and their daughter Nikole are excited to share their passion for great food and drinks with everyone. Nicolas's life passion has been to bring his favorite flavors from his childhood to his friends and family in the United States. 

As a child, Nicolas spent many days helping his uncle on the farm in his childhood hometown of Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico. His time on the farm influenced his love for food and even the restaurant's name of Tres Chiles. The name comes from Nicolas's favorite food on the farm, Chile.

After Nicolas immigrated to the United States, he opened his first restaurant in 2000 where he found success in the restaurant business. 

Today, the first location is under new ownership but still open and doing well serving almost the same menu it originally opened with. Nicolas then opened his second restaurant back in his birth town of Meoqui, Chihuahua, Mexico and it was very well received. However, Nicolas learned it is hard to run a restaurant from so far away, so he sold that location, which is still operating today. 

Back in the United States, Nicolas focused on his construction business so that he could spend more time with his family and hopefully open another restaurant. In 2018, Nicolas was given the opportunity to open a restaurant on Tennyson near his home. Once again, he was excited to share his love for food with his friends and neighbors. Tres Chiles is the culmination of years of hard work and passion.

This year Yasmin and Nicolas have taken their love of food to the next level and they are excited to share it with you and your family.
